Mission Planning for Remote Sensing
One of our civilian applications is the usage of UAS for aerial imaging in the field of geodesy. Nowadays, geotagged images from wide and small areas are produced by manned aircrafts and create high costs. For the creation of images of small areas UAS, are a cheaper and more flexible possibility to get geotagged images. When talking about small areas we mean images of construction sites or garbage dumps. The big advantages of UAS in comparison to manned aircraft are the lower costs and the higher flexibility of an UAS.
