AeroSpy Sense & Avoid Technology

During field tests with a partner our IMU was fixed on a belt to wear around the hips. The target was to measure the energy consumption of a person during sports activities.

Additionally it is possible to use the same product to compare movements of healthy and injured people in the area of rehabilitation.  Therefor several IMU’s are fixed on a leg to measure and compare the movement in different stages of a healing process.

Human Support

Support of handicapped or elderly people in everyday life:

Concerning handicapped or elderly people we see possible applications in three areas:

• One is the support of blind people. Our autopilot system can support blind people navigating through an unknown area. The target of this development is very high accuracy.
• The second application we see is to locate people which are lost, because they are suffering from dementia.  
• The third application is the recognition of downfall and the notification of the e.g. Red Cross, which can help immediately.
