The industrial application of our autopilot is the integration into automated guided vehicles (AGV) to increase their autonomy. We can enable outdoor and indoor navigation via integrating our IMU into your AGV and adapting it perfectly to your needs. We have verified our expertise in guiding autonomous vehicles and referencing a position in various projects, where we faced and handled the challenge to reference the position of a vehicle without magnetic guidance in the floor. 

In the logistics industry, we face the topic of an additional method to find the position of indoor AGV’s. Nowerdays these vehicles are guided by reflectors or transponders. Therefor it is necessary to equip the whole facility in which the vehicle is moving with multiple reflectors. The topic in such cases is always the cutting of costs in that sense, that our IMU enables an alternative to find the position of the vehicle and guide it autonomously in short distances where there is no connection to the reflectors. An enlargement of the guidance of the vehicle with our IMU will lower the amount of reflectors necessary and support the guidance of the vehicle in areas where there is a lac of connection to the reflectors.
